Rolling last.FM is part of the Tenka.com, “to run social media advertising” registered on its co-founder and Chief Product Officer Tim Zhou, who was a senior software engineer at Google since April 2008 to June 2010, according to his profile on LinkedIn and worked at IBM before.
His co-creation, whose domain is registered to 27. June – such as Turntable last.FM gathering steam-room for the group is very much along the lines of the Turntable to listen to last.FM, which encourages people to turn into a cute little Avatars play music for himself and on; part of the large and growing group listening phenomenon going on this year.
Login to last.FM with Rolling by Facebook, as well as with Turntable. fm. “You become the DJ to play music for all in the room” from the central catalog, or a custom hard disk; earn credits for playing things people like; vote for the song “hot” or “weak”; and loans for the purchase of new clothes for the thumbnails. The service is divided into browse rooms (or you can go to the one at random), and as the song loads, the front part of the stage, DJ shows a burly, preinstalled Declaration to Hold their horses.
All of this is exactly the same with Turntable. fm, with the exception of the avatars, rooms and people are a little different. Oh and when I love you, it’s a “hot” instead of “super”-don’t like it, and it’s “weak” instead of “Yeah.” In addition, there is a cat sitting on the loudspeakers and DJs take turns on the same laptop, instead of their own.
Granted, Rolling last.FM brings several additions to the settings for the Turntable. fm function, such as the ability to see who is in a room in one big list and private chat function that allows you to talk directly to the Facebook friends, even in the event that they are in another room.
But really, this is a shameless copy of the Turntable. fm. Zhou and the company have no shame?
Who cares? The world needs all the nice ways to listen to music, as much as possible, from the place where we stand. This is the case, “the more the better” — even if Rolling last.FM is arguably the least original web application we’ve ever seen.
This is also the case of a “different strokes for different folks.”
Rolling last.FM group listening to the Web application is different from the Turntable. fm, in the sense that many of the most popular room captures the specific high schools and universities (even though anyone can participate in a room). And yet, we heard far less Club than usual indie music we hear on the Turntable. fm.
Who knows-we could witness the explosion of listener groups, each with its own twist on the Turntable. fm concept, which will appeal to a different demographic. While the Turntable last.FM deserves sufficient credit for comes with the concept, it can’t be bad for music fans to this concept continues to be replicated, as it is here–at least until the patent lawyers, to insert them.
